Jay is a 14-year-old boy with good potential and outgoing personality.  He has been staying in his present small group home in 2003 since his separation with the birth family.  The placement is stable.  Jay is studying Grade 2 in a high school in this school term.  He has specific learning difficulties in reading and writing despite having an average intellectual ability in general.  His language ability is weak.  He is doing better in Mathematics, Science and Liberal Studies.

Regardless of the learning difficulties, he enjoys many extra-curricular activities. Jay is independent in self-care and is a helpful person.  He is outgoing and expressive but rather sensitive in his interpersonal relationships. He can be quite argumentative sometimes.  In general, he was seen to be more mature and friendly in his character recently.  He has been especially kind to younger children.  Enjoying stable health condition, he receives regular follow-up for his squint condition.  Moreover, he has 43 kg in his weight and 162 cm in his height.
