This little girl was born premature in January 2009.  A report at five months of age stated that a Ventriculo-Peritoneal (V-P) shunt was put in and is functioning well.  She was also shown to a pediatric cardiologist, and the PDA is gradually closing.  She was hospitalized for shunt problems for a while, was released, and is now doing well.
