This easy going 6 year old boy has a warm and engaging personality.  You will always find him smiling and eager to meet new people.  He approaches situations with responsibility and is good relationally with the staff and his peers.  He enjoys listening to music, singing and dancing, watching movies, coloring, and arranging puzzles.  The child is emotionally calm and able to play well with other children.  He will often take a passive role with children but is more actively engaged when interacting with adults; he shows positive attachment to his caregivers.
This child is clinically healthy aside from a malformed left arm which does not negatively affect his functioning.  He is able to independently take care of his daily needs and able to perform tasks given.  In addition it is thought that he has temporary delays in speech and cognitive development that has been greatly improving with time.  His mental process appears to be slightly underdeveloped at this time which exhibits itself through unstable attention and poor concentration.  Though these issues are present, he appears to have good visual memory and the ability to connect with others.  In his speech, he struggles to use correct pronunciation and is sometimes hard to understand; however, the child is currently attending hourly training at a local preschool.
This child would thrive in a family that can provide consistency and on-going support to meet his physical and developmental needs.  In addition, a family that has parented children past his age would be an ideal match.  Please consider how you could change the life of this waiting child and pray for him as he awaits his forever family.
According to the country requirements, applicants must be 23-55 years old and currently on no medication for mental illness.
