Sonny was physically abused by his birth father and step-father. The child’s life was in danger and was referred to a Children’s Home for protective custody and intervention. Eventually the birth mother voluntarily surrendered Sonny and wanted him to have a family and good future that she cannot provide.

Sonny has an average level of intellectual functioning. He interacts with his classmates and teachers and can easily understand the lesson. He knows to reason out and stand for himself. He is also responsible and diligent in studying and in helping in school. At home, he acts as the big brother to the younger children. He has good relationship with his caregivers and shares his experiences to them. Sonny also understood more about truth and honesty. He sometimes gets hurt when reprimanded by his caregivers but realize his mistakes and talk to the caregivers again. He also gets offended when teased by the other children and caregivers talk to him. Sonny is also a good leader. He leads in the daily devotion and really works for it. He performs his household chores and is obedient. He likes to play with other boys but sometimes prefer to play alone and spend time to think by himself.
