Liberian Children No Longer Listed on TSC’s Web Site

We have made the decision to remove our Liberia listings indefinitely. When the Liberian government announced in January that inter-country adoptions were suspended until further notice, indications were that the suspension would be of relatively brief duration. In light of that, we decided to continue listing children from Liberia in hopes that the short-term suspension would not unduly interrupt the adoption process and that, once adoptions resumed, we might have waiting families for at least some of the Liberian children. As time has passed and as indications from Liberia have grown more bleak, the prospect of an early resumption of adoptions has faded. We have now reached the conclusion that adoptions from Liberia will not resume any time soon, and we have determined that the responsible thing for us to do is to remove our Liberia listings until adoptions start up again. Please continue to pray with us for the orphans of Liberia and for the early resumption of inter-country adoptions from that nation.
